Frog has designed the website and portal, which has been sponsored by Yorkshire Forward, for the pilot project in primary schools across West Yorkshire. The four schools driving the project are Brighouse High School, Salendine Nook High School, Castleford High School and Thornton Grammar School. The website encourages students and staff to work together on the F1 in Schools project. Teams can upload designs to share with other project members, view designs that have been created before and participate in discussion forums to encourage collaboration with other primary schools.

 

With the captivating appeal of F1™ in mind, the project aims to help change the perceptions of science, technology and engineering. The experience of collaborating, designing, manufacturing and testing a miniature gas powered F1™ car, is hoped to inform young people about potential careers in engineering, science, marketing, technology and F1™.
