Leaders, teachers and pupils in Frog schools are changing the way their school works.
This series of ‘white papers’, explores the way this increased engagement is changing attitudes. Relatively small projects are spiraling into major developments. The end result is the overall startling improvements referred to in comments from staff at all levels. This is happening in many Frog schools. |

The Elizabethan School
The Elizabethan School has been using Frog for a year and...
...have embedded the opportunities presented right across the school, to the benefit of staff and students. Neil Oldbury, has used the potential of their Frog VLE to systematically go through and simplify each area of the school.
What is striking is the wide range of ways the school use their Frog, with staff right across the school actively developing its use.

Halifax High School
Frog was introduced to the staff only a couple of years...
...ago, in September 2007, as part of a well planned drip-feed approach supported by the Headteacher. The initial concentration was on easy things that can be done with Frog. The impact of these was to make numerous administrative aspects of teachers’ jobs easier, saving considerable time and effort and providing more effective ways of working. This led rapidly to widespread and regular use of Frog.

Kingsway School
Kingsway Online, built using the Frog platform, is a key...
...feature of the school. The external website gives access to a home portal and information about the school. There are staff, student, primary school portals where usernames & passwords are needed to go beyond the front page. Their Frog provides opportunities to pool and share ideas and resources between staff as well as offer students the ability to access learning materials beyond the school barriers.

Crossley Heath Language College
The school reached a point where students could access...
...teaching and learning resources but felt that success was limited by the degree of true student engagement with the Frog. Starting with the “Student Room” staff began to harness the enthusiasm and creativity of students in shaping the nature of their own E learning. Having listening to the students, it was agreed that the student pages on Frog should be increasingly student-driven, managed, developed and maintained with guidance from staff.

Springhill High School
School has used Frog for 3 years and whereas the staff...
...previously used their VLE just to store and save work, each department now has ownership of their own website. They are continually developing these to help improve the delivery of teaching and make learning more enjoyable. The major difference since Frog was implemented is in how staff are planning, personalising and differentiating resources and lessons for students within classes. Frog has responded to school requests which are beyond what can be achieved with other VLEs and now link the school’s MIS and Frog so information can be accessed seamlessly by students and staff remotely, using a Citrix terminal server.
