Getting parents involved in their child's education is about more than just informing them. The Frog Parental Engagement Portal (PEP) allows parents to access SIMS data on their child with only a 24 hour delay, discuss school topics with teachers and other parents, see homework that has been assigned, engage with the school community and keep up-to-date with school life.

 

Parents can decide what information is important to them and using Frog Widgets they can customise elements of the portal to suit their personal requirements.

What can parents access from home?

 

Using Frog Widgets, and Frogs simple to use drag-drop system, parents can personalise their dashboard, with the information that is important to them about their child. The widgets available to parents are:

 

The feed - A dynamic series of notifications around their child's attendance, behaviour, homework and other activities with their school life. This works similar to the notification pages on most social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook.

 

My child/children - Allows parents to list their child/children with a photograph. At the click of a mouse parents can flick between their children's information.

 

Attendance mini - An interactive pie chart that allows parents to display a summary of AM/PM attendance for the week.

 

Detailed attendance - Gives parents access to more detailed attendance graphs displaying both subject and period related attendance.

 

TImetable - Help parents plan for their child's terms and weeks by giving them access to full timetable information including subjects, times and locations.

 

My child's teachers - To improve communication and collaboration with parents they can access a list of their child's teachers based on the subjects they are taking.

 

Behaviour reports - A dynamic series of reports relating to a child's behaviour, categorised into both positive and negative events.
